Step 1
Organizational Entry and Needs Assessment
- Hold initial meeting with the client to identify issues to be addressed
- Identify appropriate level for needs assessment
- Select appropriate needs assessment methodology
- Conduct needs assessment
- Provide feedback of results to client
Step 2
Select and Plan for Intervention
- Partner with clients to identify goals, intended outcomes, and a timeline with milestones
- Use needs analysis results to identify or create appropriate intervention
- Engage the client in action planning for intervention
- Identify possible unintended consequences and resistance to change
- Develop an evaluation plan to assess effectiveness
Step 3
Implement Intervention
- Implement intervention based on the action plan
- Solicit feedback to ensure that the process is on track
- Provide support to leadership and staff as needed to keep the project moving
Step 4
Evaluate Results of Intervention
- Implement the evaluation plan
- Analyze evaluation results to determine effectiveness and areas for further improvement
- Develop action plan to ensure continued success of the intervention
