Building Personal and Organizational Resilience

Resilience is a term we have come to hear more often over the last decade that is built upon more than thirty years of research determining why hardships that defeated and exhausted some individuals invigorated, inspired, and motivated others.  Researchers pinpointed the specific characteristics that set apart highly successful leaders and employees from their peers and defined a resilient leaders as one who:

  • Deals effectively with pressure
  • Remains optimistic and persistent, even under adversity
  • Recovers quickly from setbacks

TATC’s organizational development and training practice is known for its integration of the concept ofrResilience into its organizational development and training programs.  We offer proven leadership programs and resiliency training options to equip employees with the skills needed to succeed in an environment where change is ever-present and constantly accelerating.

While resilienc may seem to come “naturally” to some, it is actually a skill that can be practiced and learned.  With training, leaders can practice techniques that help them develop the ability to:

  • Motivate themselves and others
  • Increase productivity and performance
  • Increase job satisfaction
  • Build and sustain postive relationships
  • Develop resilient attitudes to deal with difficult and challengng times
  • Put challenges in perspective for themselves and co-workers
